Techstars Mobility, driven by Detroit, Announces 10 Startups to Receive Funding

Techstars Mobility, driven by Detroit first class

Techstars Mobility, driven by Detroit—the business incubator in which Ford invested starting in December 2014—announced today the 10 startups that it will support through September with angel funding and business development training.

The 10 winning startups will relocate to facilities in downtown Detroit, and each will receive three months of development and customer acquisition/recruitment training as well as up to $120,000 in funding.

The 10 business include: Ansik, CDL WarriorClassics & ExoticsCosmos Browser, Elegus TechnologiesGear BrakeMotorosoMy Dealer Service, SPLT, and WISE Systems.

“Techstars Mobility pays forward the startup legacy of Ford Motor Company by supporting these smart and ambitious inventors, developers and thinkers who are creating innovative solutions to a wide range of future mobility challenges,” said Bill Ford, executive chairman, Ford Motor Company.

Techstars Mobility, driven by Detroit, will choose another 10 startups in 2016 and 10 more again in 2017. Other backers for the program include Magna International, Verizon Telematics, Dana Holding Corporation, Honda R&D Americas, and McDonald’s.

The winners were selected from hundreds of applications received from 42 countries and six continents.
