Truck fans had plenty to celebrate at the Dallas Auto Show, but nothing really comes close to seeing a favorite model reborn.

The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Lone Star edition made quite the impression on auto show attendees with its standard bright grille surround with billet inserts, chrome door handle centers, bright front and rear bumpers, fog lamps, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. On the inside, the Ram Lone Star continued to impress with a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and 60/40 split rear bench seat.

“The hard-working appeal of the Ram Lone Star has made it a favorite among Texas truck buyers,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand. “Trucks are an important part of Texas life, and Ram trucks are proven to last. Ram’s long-lasting reliability has helped the Ram 1500 cement the highest owner loyalty of any half-ton pickup.”

According to FCA, the 2019 Lone Star, which is only available in Texas, features signature “Lone Star” interior badges and a “Lone Star” tailgate, and will be powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine; “a powerful and fuel-efficient HEMI with the eTorque mild hybrid system is also available.” As 2018 progresses buyers can opt for the available 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar with eTorque.

“The Ram 1500 Lone Star, the brand’s top-selling truck in Texas, offers buyers a no-compromise balance of strength, capability, technology and comfort,” according to FCA. “The 2019 Ram 1500 Lone Star is available with a choice of 4×2 and 4×4 powertrains, Crew and Quad Cab configurations and 5-feet 7-inch (Crew only) and 6-feet 4-inch bed lengths.”

The 2019 Lone Star model can be customized and enhanced with either the “Black” or “Sport” appearance packages, a 4×4 Off-road group, Trailer Tow and Brake Group, Premium Lighting Group, Max Towing Package, a Protection Group, and a Bed Utility Group; buyers also have the option of five-passenger bucket seats or a six-passenger bench front as well as a choice of four interior trim levels and available features such as Blind-spot Monitoring, electric-locking rear axle, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and a “class-exclusive Active Level Air Suspension.”
