The 2017 Ford GT Configurator is Probably the Closest You’re Getting to Owning One
Look, it’s probably best to face up to reality: chances are pretty good that you don’t have $400,000 to plunk down on a supercar, and given the limited availability, odds are somewhat slim that you will own a 2017 Ford GT even if you do (especially if you have not owned a Ford before). For those of us who will not be able to enjoy the GT live and in the carbon fiber and Gorilla Glass, there is always the 2017 Ford GT configurator. And while it isn’t good enough to fill the void of not being able to own one, it is at least something. Let’s go through it, shall we?

The Ford GT configurator starts you off with a simple-yet-elegant Ford GT parked in a mysterious warehouse. You’ll see that your options for modification include exterior, wheels, interior, and series. More on that last one in a bit. First, we take a look at exteriors.

Exterior opens up into three subcategories: Exterior Color; Stripes; and Front, Rear and Side Lowers Finish. We’ve got eight different exterior colors to choose from here: Frozen White, Shadow Black, Ingot Silver, Liquid Grey, Liquid Blue, Liquid Red, Triple Yellow, and Matte Black.

Next up, you’ve got wheels. The 2017 GT is available with five varieties of 20-inch wheels, including three sets that are one-piece forged-aluminum and two carbon-fiber sets. There are also five different options for brake caliper colors.
For the one-piece forged-aluminum wheels, the options are all five-spoked, and they are offered as follows: Graphite with Black lug nuts, Gloss Black with Black lug nuts, and Silver with Chrome lug nuts.
If you opt for carbon-fiber wheels, you have two options: matte- or gloss-finished, both offered with black lug nuts.
Finally, you can choose the colors of your brake calipers, choosing from: black, silver, blue, red, and orange.
