The BMW S 1000 XR is the Real Star of “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter”
One week has passed since the opening day of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. The sixth movie in the series is also said to be the final Resident Evil film. At least until the studios decide to make Resident Evil 7: The Quest for More Money.
Indeed, the Resident Evil franchise is the most successful video game film franchise of all time, which is a lot like saying that Long John Silver’s is the most successful fast food seafood chain of all time. Still, the Resident Evil movies have somehow grossed more than $1 billion to date. While the movies don’t seem to find much success in the United States (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter opened fourth at the Box Office last weekend, behind A Dog’s Purpose), they seem to make up for it through foreign market sales and strategic sponsorships with companies like BMW.
For example, the BMW S 1000 XR motorcycle makes its big-screen debut in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

The BMW S 1000 XR is main character Alice’s vehicle of choice on her journey back to the zombie-infested Raccoon City. There, she must face off against the diabolical Umbrella Corporation and their presumably spectacular fleet of motorcycles.
BMW has called the S 1000 XR the perfect partner for Resident’s Evil’s Alice, played by Milla Jovovich. The motorcycle is described as possessing steadfast agility and control, much like the character of Alice herself.

If you too want to ride a motorcycle that is just as cool, then fear not. BMW has teamed up with AMC Theaters and video game-based website IGN to offer two lucky fans the chance to claim the vehicle featured within the movie. For more information about the sweepstakes, visit IGN’s website.
The S 1000 XR is featured heavily in the trailer for the film, which is also filled with ironic music choices like “Paradise City” by Guns N’ Roses. You can view the trailer below:
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter also stars Ali Larter, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, and Game of Thrones veteran Iain Glen.
The film series is based around the Resident Evil video game franchise, which recently released the seventh flagship title in the series, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. If the characters in the video games had a BMW S 1000 XR on their side, perhaps they could more easily avoid becoming a “Jill Sandwich.”
