The Cast of “Floribama Shore” and the Cars They Should Drive
Chi-chis up! It’s about to get real… Southern. While watching the season one finale of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation (don’t judge me), I thought about Pauly D’s intense love of Cadillac as he drove an Escalade to club Eleven before DJing the night away. Being an automotive journalist, and seeing an abundance of commercials for the show, I wondered, “What cars do the cast members of Floribama Shore drive?”
Unfortunately, the Floribama cast is not quite at the level of fame and fortune as Snooki and her pals, and they don’t have many photos with cars on the gram. (There’s only been one season, y’all.) Therefore, I had to take things into my own hands and imagine what cars each PCB housemate would drive, and this is the odd, yet completely legitimate result.
Aimee Hall
When it comes to Aimee, you don’t need to get too fancy. She’s a simple girl who knows what she likes, and that’s definitely not flashy cars (or flashy guys — I’m looking at you, Jeremiah). The Chevrolet C10 is the perfect vehicle for Aimee because it’s a classic American truck that’ll get her from Point A to Point B with no fuss.
Candace Rice
The Mercedes-AMG GT S is a refined vehicle with an abundance of luxury features. Just like Candace, the GT S is quiet and elegant, but if necessary, can go from zero to 60 mph in 3 seconds flat. (Remember that episode where she flipped that dude’s hat off? Yeah… like I said, zero to 60.)
Codi Butts
A true Southern gentleman (with some off-the-wall moments), Codi is very similar to Aimee in that he doesn’t require a ton of fancy things to be happy. He enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time, so it only makes sense for Codi to drive a standard Ford F-150. I’m going to go ahead and suggest the top trim King Ranch for Codi, just so he won’t get mistaken for “dollar draft beer people.”
Gus Smyrnios
Gus is a hopeless romantic looking for his future wife. He’s obviously not perfect, but he’s very ready to settle down and meet the girl of his dreams. (He mentioned naming kids on a first date with Nilsa, so…) Although he’s got a Nissan 370Z featured on his Instagram, I’m thinking with his pompadour hairstyle and Southern charm, a 1957 Chevy Bel Air would suit Gus much better. The classic car has comfortable rear bench seating and was featured in Dirty Dancing, making it exceptionally romantic.
Jeremiah Buoni
I could make a joke about Jeremiah being homeschooled and suggest an RV as the perfect vehicle for him, but I won’t do that… Jeremiah is, as Nilsa frequently states, a “barrel-chested freedom fighter.” Therefore, it only makes sense that he should drive an American muscle car: the Chevrolet Camaro. It’s the perfect dudebro car for picking up chicks and showing everyone just how manly he truly is.
Kirk Medas
Hailing from Atlanta, Kirk was dubbed the “city boy” among the Floribama crew. For the most part, Kirk is calm and collected but can get an attitude if he’s annoyed or defending his housemates. I can totally see Kirk racing along the streets of ATL in a Subaru WRX STI. The sports car is super stylish and can get up to 300 horsepower when needed.
Kortni Gilson
Kortni is a wild and crazy party girl, so she needs a car that reflects that. Having posed atop a Ford Mustang in the past, we figured it was probably best to stick with the classic muscle car for ‘Krazy Kortni.’ I’d like to suggest the Premium Fastback trim with leather seats for… um… easy clean up in case of another accident. (Hopefully she’ll be able to hold her bladder while driving.)
Nilsa Prowant
After getting married and divorced at such a young age, Nilsa is ready to party and live her life to the fullest. She posted about how much fun she had in a Jeep Wrangler during a recent vacation, and the adventurous American vehicle is exactly what Nilsa needs for a good time. All she has to do is put the top down and she’s ready to go!
Season 2 of Floribama Shore premieres July 9th at 10/9c on MTV.
Ben never thought he’d be writing about cars for a living, but here he is, knowing more about the Kia Stinger than he’d care to admit. When he’s not devoting his time to researching engine specs and other oh-so-exciting car details, he can be found enjoying time with his wife and dogs. See more articles by Ben.
