I continuously find myself amazed at the crazy things people can make, given a little time, ingenuity, and a big box of Legos.

With that in mind, check out this amazingly detailed Lego Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

This model has popped up on the Lego Ideas website, where the company crowdsources idea for new Lego sets, which may then be critiqued, edited, and eventually entered into production if they receive enough support.

The Lego Wrangler is surprisingly detailed, from including Jeep’s trademark seven-slot grille, to adding two dual-tone seats (with little seat adjustment levers), to the model receiving a stick shift coming from the center floor.

In addition, this model includes a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, windshield wipers, a GPS monitor, in-dash digital clock, and a collection of tiny accessories (a set of traffic cones, a fire extinguisher, and a DSLR camera), which are secured by a cargo net.

For Pete’s sake, under the hood there is even an engine block, and a removable hard-top roof.

The Wrangler Rubicon, at time of writing, had 1,370 people supporting it, which is a fair number, but far too few to get approved just yet. However, the model’s future seems to be bright, since it reached that strong number since it was posted to the site by creator “ck80” only three days ago (and has 604 days to go to reach the required support).

Just think, if you and enough others like this project, then we may see it actually in stores.
