Navistar SOTV-B

When you’re a special forces unit doing covert operations in a foreign country, a huge HMMWV isn’t the best vehicle you can have to keep a low profile. The Navistar SOTV-B aims to address that issue by looking like any old pickup truck while providing the reliable performance of a Cummins diesel engine and incredible off-road capability.

The Navistar SOTV-B is powered by a Cummins ISB4.5 in-line four-cylinder engine that generates up to 250 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque that can get it up to speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour. With the appearance of a regular commercial truck, the body shell hides armor and an advanced off-road 4×4 chassis.

The body shell is also interchangeable, allowing it to adapt to a wide variety of environments to blend in as well as possible.

Navistar is the company that makes many of the International trucks and buses that you see rolling around on American streets. Their defense branch also makes a huge line of armored military trucks ranging from the simple SOTV-B described here all the way up to enormous tractors and armored personnel carriers.

We wouldn’t mind having one of these SOTV-B’s in our driveway, as it would probably scare off Ford Raptor owners.
