Paul George stars in two of Jeep’s three new spots that promote the Summer of Jeep campaign

Jeep is ready to celebrate the summer—and it’s kicking it off with a new partnership with USA Basketball and Sony/ATV Music.

Through this partnership, Jeep has created three new television spots to promote their third annual Summer of Jeep campaign. The campaign will feature custom music—similar to that that appeared on the brand’s “4x4ever” Super Bowl commercial—and Indiana Pacers’ superstar Paul George.

“Our Super Bowl spot set the stage for celebrating the Jeep brand’s 75th anniversary this year—with ‘Portraits’ serving as an acknowledgment of the brand’s worldwide community and ‘4x4ever’ bringing to life in song the attitude of jeep vehicles’ off-road soul and on-road performance,” said Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing officer for FCA—Global. “Our summer campaign continues this theme through a unique alignment combining the power of a custom music platform from Sony, USA Basketball Men’s National Team finalist Paul George, the USAB team, and our special-edition 75th Aniversary vehicles. ‘4x4Summer,’ ‘What I Stand 4,’ and ‘4 New Perspective’ serve to fuel the dreams and aspirations of adventurers all around the world during one of our favorite seasons while marking a milestone year for the Jeep brand.”

Only two of the three campaign ads feature Paul George—“4×4 Summer” and “What I Stand 4.” Each of these television spots last thirty seconds. “4×4 Summer” focuses on the freedom of summer nights and how Jeep can get you wherever you want to go, no matter the adventure you have planned.

The 30-second long “What I Stand 4” takes a slightly more serious look at how the Jeep brand can get you where you need to go. Paul George chronicles his journey into basketball stardom, staring the basketball player’s longtime friends and family.

The third spot, called “4 New Perspective,” doesn’t star Paul George. Instead, it focuses on celebrating the Hispanic culture, featuring custom tracks influenced by the original Morgan Door “4x4ever” commercial.

The collective Summer of Jeep campaign goes hand-in-hand with the current #MyJeepStory campaign, which launched earlier this year. This social media platform allows Jeep lovers to share why they love their Jeep vehicles, highlighting a variety of authentic and inspiring stories about these special vehicles.
