Three GMC models ranked at the top of their respective segments in J.D. Power’s 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study. The Yukon was named the most reliable full-size SUV, the Terrain was named most reliable compact SUV, and the Sierra 1500 was ranked most reliable large light duty pickup truck.

For 2015, the study observed more than 34,000 2012 model year vehicles in the third year of ownership and still in the possession of the original owner. Not only did these three aforementioned vehicles top their segments, but the GMC brand ranked 10th most dependable overall (tied with Chevrolet).

Using the metric of reported problems per 100 vehicles over a three-year span (PP100), the GMC lineup averaged 123 problems versus the industry average of 147 problems.

“The momentum continues at GMC with this recognition,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “We expect all of our vehicles to perform at the highest level every time a customer gets behind the wheel and this achievement validates our commitment to dependability and reliability.”
