Toyota Announced Aygo x-cite Special Edition
Toyota’s sporty new take on the Aygo was considered to be an extremely exciting change in the compact car’s aesthetic direction. Perhaps to drive the point home, Toyota has released a new special edition of the Aygo for the European market—the Aygo x-cite. Needless to say, it is exciting and we are very excited to talk about it.
Excitement.
The Aygo x-cite will be available starting in June, offered in a new Cyan Splash exterior color with Piano Black accents in the rear bumper and in the “X” crossing the Aygo’s face. Additionally, the front fender and side mirrors will be finished in Bold Black, and 15-inch five-spoke alloy wheels will be finished in Glossy Black with Cyan Splash center caps. It will also be available in a bi-ton variant that will include black-out roof and A-pillars.
On the inside, the x-cite will boast Cyan Splash air vent inserts and Bold Black inserts in the instrument panel, center console, and gear lever surround.
Additionally, the x-cite will come with Toyota Safety Sense, a suite of safety technologies including a Pre-Collision System and Lane Departure Alert. It will be offered with the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine as the core Aygo model, which can be mated to either a manual or an “x-shift” automated manual transmission.
