Toyota Donates 10 Corollas to Myanmar Driving Schools
Safe driving is a worldwide concern, not just here in the US. In Asia particularly, seat-belt wearing is not always a habit—a fact that Toyota has long been trying to change. Now, as part of a campaign to make Asian drivers safer than ever before, the Japanese automaker is donating 10 Corolla sedans to four driving schools in Myanmar (also known as Burma), as well as various educational materials designed to help young Burmese driver become more responsible when behind the wheels of their cars.

During a presentation ceremony for the vehicles, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific (TMAP) President Hisayuki Inoue remarked, “Toyota believes in giving back to society. We hope our donation today will contribute to enriching this country’s automotive society.”
The donation of these 10 specially-equipped Corollas is the latest in Toyota’s corporate social responsibility campaign in Myanmar. The automaker also offers free vehicle-related training of different levels to service technicians in order to make them the best they can be in their chosen profession.
