Toyota Looks For 100 Non-ProfitsToyota philanthropy just won’t stop. Whether it’s donating one million meals to those families still affected by Hurricane Sandy or to victims of the tornadoes to hit Oklahoma, Toyota is always lending a helping hand.  That tradition continues as the Japanese automaker announces its third annual 100 Cars for Good program.

The innovative program allows anyone to go online at www.100carsforgood.com and submit a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization for a chance to win a Toyota vehicle.  The program will begin accepting applications on July 22 until August 5.

Toyota will announce finalists of the 100 Cars for Good on August 18, and will distribute promotional material for the organizations to distribute.  Then, starting on October 1, voting will open on Toyota’s Facebook page for 50 consecutive days, awarding the top vote-getters each day a brand-new Toyota vehicle.

“The 100 Cars for Good program elevates the positive impact nonprofits have on their communities,” said Michael Rouse, vice president of diversity, philanthropy and community affairs for Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc, in a press release.

“The program creates awareness by involving the public in the voting process, and the extra vehicle mobility helps to advance the goals of the selected organizations. This is a wonderful opportunity for Toyota to give back and demonstrate our commitment to communities across America.”
