The 2016 Toyota Avalon

Earlier this year, Toyota unveiled the 2016 Avalon at the Chicago Auto Show. The full-size sedan has been redesigned for the new model year, featuring updated styling and improved suspensions, among other things. Now, we have more information regarding the new Avalon, which should start appearing in dealerships soon.

The new Avalon features two new suspensions—Touring grade and non-Touring grade. The former focuses on a dynamic and responsive driving experience, while the latter centers on a high-quality and comfortable ride. The suspensions are accompanied by the Avalon’s trusty 3.5-liter V6, capable of producing 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque.

On top of the new suspension, the new Avalon features a plethora of chrome trim, a quiet cabin, leather-wrapped interior, and the latest Entune Audio Plus. This infotainment system comes with eight speakers (although nine are available with the optional Entune Premium Audio), a 7-inch touchscreen, HD Radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and SiriusXM radio with a three-month trial.

Safety features include the available Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, which helps the car keep a safe distance from the vehicle travelling ahead; and Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.

The 2016 Avalon aims to breathe some much-needed life back to the full-size sedan segment, and from the looks of it, it’s set to succeed.
