As we get closer to the kickoff of the 2015 Chicago Auto Show (CAS), automakers left and right are teasing us with what’s to come. Toyota is the latest automaker to release a particularly annoying teaser image of the 2016 Avalon, along with absolutely no useful information. It seems that Toyota wants to leave us in suspense until its press conference, which starts Thursday February 12th at 2:30pm.

2016 Toyota Avalon teaser

What we know about the 2016 Toyota Avalon, which will debut at the Chicago Auto Show

What do we know about the 2016 Avalon? Well, it’ll be updated, for sure. It’ll also be a sedan, which isn’t entirely unexpected. And, judging from the teaser image, its grille has been lowered, and it boasts updated headlights with LED accents and a Toyota badge, so you know it’s a Toyota. Apart from that, we’re pretty much out of luck.

Toyota is a huge fan of releasing such teaser images, just like it did with the Tacoma ahead of the Detroit Auto Show. In that case, Toyota actually unveiled images and details about the restyled pickup before its debut, so it’s possible the automaker will do the same with the 2016 Avalon. Until then, prepare yourselves for another Toyota sedan. Things are about to get exciting.
