SO MANY SPORTS EMOTIONS!!!!!

Last month, Toyota announced an app that would allow sports fans to use a football-centric emoji keyboard on their smartphones to chat with other football fans about their love of the game. FanMojis help you express your feelings while watching the game, whether you’re jumping for joy at your team’s success, or sobbing uncontrollably about how much they suck.

From now until this Friday (November 20th), fans who use the hashtag #letsgofans on social media will be surprised with a new, custom emoji—a foam finger emblazoned with “#1.” Toyota’s ad agency, Saatchi & Saatchi LA, refers to it as a “digital tailgate cheer.”

The emoji goes alongside a contest hosted by Toyota called “Twitter’s Loudest Tailgate” party. For the contest, Twitter users are encouraged to use the #letsgofans hashtag along with their team’s city, such as #NY. The team with the most tweets will be the winner, and will be announced November 20th via a custom data visualization social video.

Toyota Twitter #LetsGoFans campaign

Toyota’s fascination with football began with the first commercial in its latest campaign, For the Rush of Sport, back in September, which showed how its vehicles helped sports fans in their sporting activities. While unconfirmed, speculation that this campaign will culminate in a Super Bowl ad is abundant.
