We don’t often hear about the Toyota Venza, but this wagon is definitely worthy of mention. Especially now, as we learn about the Toyota Venza five-star safety rating that was recently awarded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This rating is the highest possible awarded by the government agency, which puts hundreds of vehicles through crash tests each year to determine their safety.

The Venza wagon scored a total of four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test, and four stars in the rollover crash test. All in all, this added up to an overall score of five stars. Both the front- and all-wheel-drive versions were tested and received the same score.

The Toyota Venza’s standard safety equipment includes a rearview camera (a new feature for the 2015 model year), stability control, traction control, antilock brakes, brake assist, and hill-start assist control. Additionally, the Venza comes with seven standard airbags, which include front-seat side-mounted airbags, a driver knee airbag, and front and rear side curtain airbags.
