Toyota’s Ultimate Utility Vehicle will be leading the convoy through Alaska and Canada

Over the past few months, Toyota employees have been travelling across North America in Toyota vehicles with one mission in mind: to garner enough real-life experience and knowledge to make future Toyota cars better than ever before. Now, the Toyota Ever-Better Expedition has entered its final leg—and it’s sure to be one of the toughest yet.

The Toyota Land Cruise 200 will also join the expedition

The Ever-Better Expedition is a five-continent journey that will unite a total of 330,000 Toyota employees across the globe. The journey began in Australia, and has been in North America since June, when it kicked off in Plano, Texas, site of Toyota’s future North American headquarters. The last leg of the North American journey will begin on November 18th in Anchorage, Alaska, and will travel 4,488 miles through The Last Frontier and Canada.

“Alaska’s famously remote terrain will expose our Ever-Better Expedition team to new challenges and help inspire further innovation,” explained Steve Appelbaum, national engagement marketing manager, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. “By learning from our customers, their landscapes and the roads, Toyota will continue to deliver vehicles that serve our drivers better.”

Completing the journey will be two of Toyota’s toughest contenders—the Ultimate Utility Vehicle (a Sienna minivan body on a Tacoma truck base), and the Land Cruiser 200. Both vehicles were recently available for viewing at Toyota’s SEMA Show display.
