You might remember a story from earlier this week in which a man, angered by bitter divorce proceedings, rolled his wife’s Corvette into a river and let it drown. This 50-year-old man, John Kramer of Philadelphia, has been in an ongoing battle with his wife during a three-year divorce. In the past, he has put weights through her windshields and has smashed the glass of her front door. Giving her car a refreshing bath, however, is an all-new low for Mr. Kramer.

Kramer has reportedly turned himself in, but not without being very clear on what kind of man he thinks he is. According to philly.com, Kramer said during his arraignment, “I didn’t even realize I was doing anything wrong. I wasn’t on my medication at the time. My system was not balanced. I didn’t feel balanced. This stuff is not my fault. Life is too hard for me anymore. Nothing ever comes easy for me. My wife will make me out to be a horrible, horrible person. But I am not. I am very nice. I am very good.

What a nice, good man he was to sink his wife’s car. It’s like Christmas came early.

Kramer was officially arraigned with a $15,000 bail and has not yet posted the 10% ($1,500) to be released. He is charged with violation of a restraining order, harassment of his wife, and reckless endangerment of the divers that had to plunge into the Delaware to bring the Corvette back out.
