Updates for the 2015 Chevy Cruze Announced

The 2015 Chevy Cruze will be the last of the first generation. Even so, there are a number of changes from the 2014 model, even before its major redesign. Check out all the major (and minor) updates for the 2015 Chevy Cruze below:

Updates for the 2015 Chevy Cruze: The Additions

Like most 2015 GM models, the Cruze gets OnStar 4G LTE. Also added at an extra cost are two exterior color options: Siren Red Tintcoat and Autumn Bronze Metallic. Drivers can also get a Brownstone interior color combo. The Cruze also receives a different set of 18-inch five-spoke flangeless Silver-painted alloy wheels, now with the RPO code REN.

Updates for the 2015 Chevy Cruze: The Deletions

Unfortunately, we’re losing more than we’re getting for the 2015 model. Say goodbye to the manual gearbox on the 2LT trim, as well as the Crustal Red Tintcoat and Atlantis Blue Metallic exterior colors. Also deleted are the Jet Black/Brick and Jet Black/Sport Red interior color combinations, the auxiliary glove box, and the Fleet equipment group. The PVZ wheels give way to the REN ones mentioned above.

In addition, the LS trim will no longer carry the rear armrest while the 1LT and ECO trims lose the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The ECO manual bids farewell to front and rear floormats, the 2LT and Diesel lose Keyless Access and Keyless Start, and the ECO gets rid of the Pioneer premium nine-speaker sound system.

Updates for the 2015 Chevy Cruze: The Changes

Other noteworthy changes include the replacement of the RPO (DT4) Smoker’s Package with the LPO (SAO) Smoker’s Package and the name change of the All Star Edition to the Style and Technology Package. The driver and front passenger illuminated vanity mirror visors become standard for the 2LT model, front projection-type fog lamps (T3Y) replace front fog lamps (T3U), and T3Y is placed in the (PDZ) RS Package, which is no longer standard on the LZ model. Finally, the driver six-way power seat adjuster with manual recliner is available free flow for Fleet on the 1LT.
