Slight Updates for the 2015 Dodge Viper Should Help with Sales
Now that the SRT brand has been swallowed up by Dodge, we can expect a number of updates for the 2015 Dodge Viper that should better position the model in the market. Powered by an 8.4-liter V10 engine, the Viper throws down 645 horsepower and boasts a fuel economy rating of 20 mpg, up from 19 mpg. The sixth ratio of the Tremec six-speed manual has also been adjusted for a supposedly quieter ride.

Drivers can also play around with the appearance with two new exterior colors: Stryker Purple and Yorange. The 2015 Dodge Viper is also available with a Ceramic Blue Edition appearance package, which includes the Ceramic Blue hue, as well as black stripes and black five-spoke “Rattler wheels.” Other exterior upgrades include carbon fiber brake ducts, orange brake calipers, and a Satin Black exhaust bezel.
Also new for 2015 are the GT model and the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition. The GT model includes Alcantara suede and Nappa leather, and adds adjustable suspension and the trick stability control program that you get on the GTS model. The SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition is essentially an aerodynamics package.
Dodge hopes that with these few important updates, the Viper will be in better shape in terms of sales next year.
