Well, it seems that Mazda has been raking in the awards lately. For starters, you have Strategic Vision awarding the Mazda3 the title of “Most Loved Vehicle,” and a little longer ago you have the brand receiving three separate awards from the Automotive Brand Contest in Germany. Then, of course, there were the four Mazda vehicles named to Consumer Guide’s 2016 Best Buys.

And now Mazda has another nice trophy to stack onto its groaning mantelpiece: US News has selected Mazda as the Best Car Brand. This was part of the organization’s Best Vehicle Brand Awards, which select a brand for Best Brand for Cars, SUVs, Trucks, and Luxury Vehicles.

In the award article, US News lauded Mazda’s lineup both for its excellent performance as well as its positive reviews by consumers.

US News also mentioned a few Mazda vehicles in particular. The first was the 2016 Mazda3, which has risen to the top tier of US News’ compact car rankings, due to its “nimble handling, strong acceleration and upscale interior.” Next, US News pointed out the Mazda6 sedan, which it praised for its upscale interior and performance, while maintaining strong fuel economy.

Really, though, US News couldn’t breeze through the Mazda lineup without talking about the MX-5. Despite its smaller engine than most sports cars on the road, US News said, “automotive journalists report that its small size, precise handling and responsive steering and braking make it one of the most fun-to-drive cars you can buy.”

Well, gosh, Mazda. I think US News may just have a crush on you. Don’t let Strategic Vision know.
