Although minivans don’t sport the edgiest silhouettes, they do provide exceptional comfort — so much space for passengers and stuff! — as a daily driver and especially as a road trip warrior. No surprise then that the award-winning 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid earned a score of 8.9 out of 10 on the U.S. News & World Report’s round-up of “The Best Road Trip Cars.”

In addition to the Pacifica Hybrid’s excellent technology features, handling, and performance, the editors at U.S. News & World Report were particularly impressed by the minivan’s remarkable fuel economy.

“Its plug-in hybrid powertrain allows you to burn very little gas, if any, during your weekday tasks. On weekend adventures, it earns an EPA-estimated 28 mpg on the highway,” reports U.S. News & World Report Writer John M. Vincent.

You have a choice of three trim levels — Hybrid Touring Plus, Hybrid Touring L, and Hybrid Limited. Each trim is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 hybrid engine and eFlite Si-EVT to earn an EPA-estimated rating of 84 MPGe combined. Available features such as the Chrome Stow n’ Place roof rack and hands-free power liftgate make easy work of loading and unloading the van.

Comfort reigns supreme for all in the Pacifica Hybrid thanks to standard features including three-zone automatic climate control, easy entry slide second row seating, third-row fold-in-floor 60/40 bench, overhead ambient surround lighting and available features such as perforated leather trim bucket seats and heated front seats.
