Vauxhall sales in September totaled 47,067 vehicles, led by the Corsa and Astra, both of which found themselves among the UK’s top 10.

“September was a great month for Vauxhall with sales results that we can be truly proud of,” said Rory Harvey, Vauxhall’s Chairman and Managing Director. “Now we focus on finishing the year strongly with new models including Mokka X and Zafira Tourer arriving in showrooms and OnStar giving us a tremendous lead in the vehicle connectivity arena.”

Sales of the Corsa totaled 14,570 during the month, including 2,361 delivered in Scotland, where Vauxhall’s 4,977 sales made it the top manufacturer during the month of September.

Sales of the Vauxhall Astra were the highest they have ever been in the UK, reaching a total of 8,776 units. The Astra, as well as the Vauxhall Insignia, was also the top seller among fleet vehicles in its segment.

Despite being replaced by the Mokka X in October, the previous-generation Mokka put up sales totaling 5,224 units. Since its launch, sales of the Mokka have surpassed 125,000 units.

Sales of the Vauxhall Vivaro totaled 1,299 units in September, making it the best-selling commercial vehicle at retail. Through the first nine months of 2016, sales of the Vivaro total 6,268 units.

Thanks to the success of the Vivaro and a 34% year-over-year increase for the Movano, Vauxhall was the UK’s top brand for commercial vehicles with a total of 2,175 vans delivered. To-date, Vauxhall van sales total 10,599 units.
