Kia The Curve Ahead

The unknown vehicle blasts up to 244 kph (or 151 mph)

In the wee hours of the morning on this first day of December, Kia sneakily posted a video on YouTube which showcases an unknown vehicle roaring across the track at Nürburgring, Germany. The video is also featured on a website entitled The Curve Ahead, which also seems to be a video series that Kia will be unveiling throughout the next few weeks. When users get to the site, a countdown shows there are 38 days remaining, along with a future timestamp of January 8, 2017 at 6pm EST.

“For curious minds, the curve ahead is all about potential, as a new paradigm of performance beckons in the distance,” is pasted below the countdown that is ultimately leading up to a vehicle reveal.

Some enthusiasts are already abuzz with their guesses as to which vehicle will be revealed in the New Year. Earlier this week, production images of the 2018 Kia GT Stinger concept were leaked, so that’s currently the top contender for the star of “The Curve Ahead.”

2014 Kia GT4 Stinger Concept Overview

The 2014 GT concept was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show

The GT concept was first introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2011 and production has been delayed ever since. With rumors of a 3.3-liter V6 engine that could put out an impressive 365 hp, it really makes sense that this beast could be featured ripping the road at Nürburgring.

Back in 2014, the GT Stinger was reintroduced at the Detroit Auto Show, so we will definitely be paying attention to this year’s show that coincidentally starts the same day as the aforementioned reveal date.
