The next-gen Mustang Shelby GT350 is being projected to make its world debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the initial rollout of the world’s most beloved pony car. It’s also practically a foregone conclusion that it will sport a naturally aspirated version of the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine. Need a bit of proof that the GT350 is going to pack some ridiculous power? Just take a listen.

The fine folks at the Mustang6G.com forums nabbed some spy shots of the newly-rechristened Mustang Shelby GT350 nee GT500 at the beginning of February, showing off a thinly-veiled mesh air intake in the front and a reworked quad exhaust treatment in the rear.
