In the recently released episode 2 of The Curve Ahead, we’re given a little more insight on what’s to come. The video starts out with the similar James Bond type beginning with typed out words on the screen, letting us know that this episode takes place at the High-Speed Handling Track at Namyang R&D Center in South Korea.
Accompanied by a roaring engine and a crescendo of dramatic music, we see the mystery vehicle making its way across the track at hyper speed after the press of a push button start. In the final moments, Kia lets us know that this new car can go from 0 to 100 kph (roughly 62 mph) in just 5.1 seconds. Quite impressive!
Kia stated that this was, “A benchmark for any car operating on a higher level of performance, and the number that enthusiasts look for first.” We have to agree, as many enthusiasts yearn for the rush of a fast acceleration in a sporty vehicle.
While a clear image of the vehicle has yet to be unveiled, this video did provide us with a blurry idea of what it will look like.
It’s safe to say that we’re excited to see what comes next in this series of videos and for Kia in the future! Check out the full video below to get your heart racing.
