Amy Purdy shows that anything is possible in this year’s Toyota Super Bowl Commercial

It’s less than a week until Super Bowl Sunday, and advertisers are gearing up for what’s sure to be a series of exciting commercial breaks. BMW has already prematurely shot its wad by revealing its Super Bowl commercial ahead of schedule, and now Toyota has followed suit by releasing two ads as part of the Toyota Camry “One Bold Choice” campaign. This year, Toyota’s Super Bowl ads center around the redesigned 2015 Camry, which has enjoyed a series of commercials as part of its “One Bold Choice Leads to Another” campaign. The first ad, titled “How Great I Am,” features Team Toyota athlete and Paralympic medalist, Amy Purdy, along with the voice of Muhammad Ali. In the commercial, Purdy uses her own Camry to get from place to place—snowboarding on the slopes, dance practice, mountain biking, running—while Ali’s voice provides a motivational soundtrack that shows that you can be just about anything you want to be as long as you’re willing to push yourself to your limits. “To say I’m honored to be in this spot airing during the game would be an understatement,” gushed Purdy. “All my life I’ve been faced with choices, and I’ve been determined to be bold through every one of them. I have a great relationship with Toyota, and to be in an ad that encourages others to persevere and be bold in their own lives is something that is hard to accurately put into words.”

The second Toyota Super Bowl commercial will feature various dads talking about what it means to be a great father. This ad will continue the conversation started by a longer video that Toyota released last week.
