The Dodge Viper has been generating a lot of enthusiasm in recent months, possibly because Dodge recently dropped the price of the classic supercar dramatically. That makes now the perfect time for Dodge to put out a documentary that wonderfully encapsulates the spirit of the Viper—and that’s exactly what Dodge has done.

The all-new, 22-minute Dodge Viper documentary, released last week, is called “Viper: DNA of a Supercar” and can be viewed below:

In the documentary, Dodge details the actual build process of the Viper. For instance, the documentary states that a whopping 90% of the interior is actually hand-wrapped in leather, while 3,700 individual components are used to create the Viper. Painting a single Viper requires more than 150 man-hours, and 48% of the exterior is carbon fiber. Be sure to watch the whole documentary for even more facts.

“The Dodge Viper is a precision-handcrafted machine expressively built to stimulate all the senses of an enthusiast’s soul,” explained Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of Dodge and SRT. “It’s not widely known what it takes to create this supercar, including the 140 to 160 hours to hand paint each Viper, so we produced the film to show what sets the Viper apart from everything else in its segment.”
