Vincentric Names Hyundai Veloster Best Value in America for Third Consecutive Year
The Hyundai Veloster is truly a one-of-a-kind vehicle. Its sporty design gives it the appearance of a coupe, while its hatchback makes it one of the more practical small cars on the market. And now, Vincentric has awarded the Veloster with the title of Best Value in America in the subcompact segment—not for the first time, but for the third year running.

What makes the Veloster such an irresistible deal? First of all, the car’s total cost of ownership was 7% below what was expected, thanks to its low depreciation and operating costs. Vincentric actually takes a number of factors into account when deciding which vehicles offer the best value—depreciation, fuel, financing, fees and taxes, insurance, maintenance, repairs, and opportunity cost.

“The Veloster was built to have outstanding value over the years, without sacrificing on performance or driver experience,” explained Mike O’Brien, vice president, corporate and product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “This accolade proves once again the Veloster is the best in its class, combining stellar interior, performance drive, digital connectivity, and top of the line safety features into a sporty, efficient, and most importantly, competitively-priced package.”
In order to win this accolade, the Veloster had to beat out some seriously tough competition from the likes of the Honda Fit and the Volkswagen Golf—the latter of which was named North American Car of the Year back in January.
The Veloster is no stranger to awards, having also been named one of the 10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000 by KBB.com.
