Volvo Child Safety

Volvo believes child safety is always a priority, and its recent innovations reflect that belief.

Volvo is known around the world for their dedication to child car safety. This year, the automaker celebrates their 50th year of making our most precious and vulnerable cargo a priority. The road can be a scary place, but Volvo puts our minds at ease, knowing they put every extra effort into making sure their cars can be a safe place for our families.

Volvo’s groundbreaking work began back in 1964, when the automaker introduced the first rear-facing child seat prototype. (Rear-facing is the safest way for children—and really anyone—to travel.) Today, the Volvo brand continues to research and create new breakthrough technologies, the most recent being an inflatable car seat concept (sign us up please).

We’ve come a very, very long way over the last 50 years – and owe much of that progress to Volvo.

Thank you, Volvo, for 50 years of protecting our smallest and most valuable car-occupants! Check out Volvo’s anniversary news release for a timeline of important milestones.
