Volvo introduces the new Inscription Package for models such as the V60, XC60, and S60.

Volvo Cars has announced the all-new Inscription Package for its 2015 model year lineup. The Inscription Package will be available as an upgrade on the XC60, the V70, the XC70, and the S80.

“The Inscription Package offers consumers a complete luxury upgrade of the interior. It is perfectly in line with our aim to move Volvo towards a more premium brand position,” explained Anders H. Gustavsson, Vice President VLM Special Products at Volvo Car Group.

The luxurious interior package includes the following elements:

  • Inscription Soft Leather upholstery, offered in several exciting color options
  • A leather-covered instrument panel
  • Premium deco inlays
  • Soft leather on extended surfaces, like the backs of the seats
  • A neck rest (with an embroidered Inscription logo) and a center armrest
  • Inscription floor mats

Drivers can also select extra Inscription options, like the Inscription Walnut deco inlays and the charcoal headliner for the XC60.

The exterior also gets the Inscription Package treatment. The special Inscription color choices include Crystal White Pearl, Electric Silver, and Ember Black (for the V70, XC70, and S80). In addition, the V70 and S80 sit on 19-inch ten-spoke wheels while the XC60 gets bumped up to 20-inch variants.

The Inscription Package isn’t the only way to make your 2015 Volvos stand out, however. As Volvo prepares for the 2014 – 2015 Volvo Ocean Race, the automaker is unleashing a lineup of special edition, sailing-inspired cars. This is the fifth generation for the Volvo Ocean Race Edition, and it is extended to the V40, the V40 Cross Country, the V60, and the XC60. There will also be a V70 and XC70 Edition for those drivers looking for a more adventurous ride.

And as if that were not enough to look forward to, all 2015 Volvo cars come with an optional (and updated) on-board infotainment and navigation system called Sensus Connect. In addition, starting in May, all Volvos can be ordered with Drive-E engines for reduced emissions.
