The theme of this year’s Honda Battle of the Bands is “Discover Greatness,” which the Japanese automaker says “encourages HBCU students to put 100% of themselves in their musical and academic studies, and to strive every day to achieve their full potential.”

“Honda Battle of the Bands brings students, alumni, fans and the HBCU community together to celebrate musical talent and academic achievement,” said Honda executive Steve Morikawa. “Honda is proud to support students and educational programs at HBCUs, which serve a unique and important role in higher education.”
