The second-gen Volt’s new powertrain enables it to travel 50 miles on pure electricity, and 400 miles total before running out of juice. The ad emphasizes the car’s eco-friendliness with a green CGI-forest , and positions it as a car for young urbanites with a CGI-city and a (CGI?) young person.
Chevrolet also plays up the Volt’s advanced technology by using the recurring theme of touchscreens, from the tablet shown at the beginning of the ad, to the car’s own infotainment screen.
