Near the end of last month, Subaru officially launched the eighth year of its annual giving campaign, Share the Love. During the campaign, which will run through January 2nd of next year, Subaru will donate $250 for every new vehicle sold or leased. Where will that money go? That’s up to the customer. Subaru gives the customer the choice of four deserving charities: ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, and the National Park Foundation. In addition, Subaru dealers can add local charities to the options list.

By the end of this year, Subaru hopes its total Share the Love donations will exceed $65 million, as it expects donations to surpass $15 million this year. Also helping the fundraising efforts are the dealers, which can donate their own money to the local charities they have selected.

Spearheading this year’s fundraiser is an advertising campaign that includes broadcast and digital work. A TV spot called “We Call it Share the Love” will lead the campaign.

In the commercial above, viewers can see the effects of past Share the Love events. We see a rescue dog being adopted, a child having her big wish come true, a lonely senior finding company, and wildlife being preserved.

If you are considering purchasing or leasing a new Subaru and you have an interest in any of these charities, make your purchase/lease decision before the 2nd of January.
