The awards seem to keep piling up for BMW! Cars.com recently awarded the title of 2017 Luxury Car of the Year to the 2017 BMW 7 Series. Now, another automotive website is celebrating the 2017 BMW lineup of vehicles.

What Car? awarded the title of Car of the Year 2017 to the BMW 5 Series.

“It’s hard to recall another year with so many exceptional new models vying for our overall Car of the Year award, which makes the BMW 5 Series’s victory all the more impressive,” What Car? stated in their editorial.

What Car? was specifically impressed with BMW’s 520d SE model, noting that it had the best fuel economy out of any vehicle in the BMW 5 Series fleet. According to studies conducted by the website, the BMW 520d SE possesses a combined fuel economy of 43.5 mpg.

The team at What Car? also found the BMW 5 Series to possess a smooth and responsive drive while out on the road.

Among the features that helped the 2017 BMW 5 Series secure the title of Car of the Year 2017 is BMW’s advanced infotainment system. With a gesture control system integrated into the multimedia center for the BMW 5 Series, drivers can adjust the entertainment settings in their vehicles with a simple wave of their hand.
