What’s New for Kia’s Eco-Friendly Models in 2019

As one automaker that has heard the call and is ahead of the alternative-fuel curve, Kia has delivered with a few impressive choices such as the Niro PHEV, Optima Hybrid, Optima PHEV, and Soul EV. All feature cutting edge technology, great performances, standout styles, well-appointed interiors, and substantial driving ranges. Plus, they all feature something new for the 2019 model year.

The popular 2019 Niro PHEV will feature subtle trim and color combination options on all three well-equipped trims — LX, EX, and EX Premium.
The 2019 Kia Optima Hybrid will offer new standard features to enhance interior comfort for drivers and passengers with 60/40 split folding rear seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-way lumbar support, dual zone automatic temperature control with rear vents, leather-trimmed seats with heated front seats, and a front USB charger and 12-volt power outlet and USB charger in the rear console. To help improve driving safety, the 2019 Optima Hybrid will offer standard single projection headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and Advanced Driver Assistance System technologies of Parking Distance Warning-Reverse, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, and Blind-spot Collision Warning.
Blind-spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, and Parking Distance Warning-Reverse, all of which are part of Kia’s Advanced Driver Assistance System, will be standard technologies on the 2019 Optima PHEV.
