Wiz Khalifa Takes A 2014 Dodge Viper SRT For A Spin In The ‘See You Again’ Music Video
With the enormous amount of weed rapper Wiz Khalifa said he smokes daily, it’s probably a good thing he doesn’t actually drive any of the awesome rides featured in the “See You Again” music video.
The song, which is currently No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, is a tribute to the late actor Paul Walker and the video not-so-coincidentally features some of the fantastic cars featured in the Fast and Furious movie series.
Wiz Khalifa gets the pleasure of leaning up against a 2014 Dodge SRT Viper while he recites his verses to the camera. Most people will never even get the chance to see one of these 640 hp beasts up close, but Khalifa acts like it’s nothing new to him, as he sits on the hood of a car that can go 0 to 60 mph in only 106 feet and has a top speed of 206 mph.
Then he takes it up a notch—or maybe seven—when the video continues into a dark building, with seven of the baddest cars on the planet, including a 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, 2015 Dodge Dart R/T Concept, 1970 Plymouth Baracuda, 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T, and a classic 1970 Dodge Charger, which is the same model Vin Diesel‘s character drove and eventually crashed in the first Fast and Furious.
The emotional Khalifa song was played at the end of Furious 7, when Diesel and the rest of the cast said their farewells to Walker’s character. Walker unfortunately died in a real-life car crash on November 30, 2013. The series will continue on with more installments of sure-to-be hits filled with high speed stunts and car crashes, but for many it won’t be the same without one of the men that made the films such an event.
Khalifa might have put it best when he rhymed, “Those were the days, hard work forever pays, now I see you in a better place.”
