We’ve heard all about the next generation Mazda MX-5 Miata in the United States, but did you know the United Kingdom is just as excited about the new roadster? The brand’s UK branch is eagerly anticipating the official launch of the 2016 MX-5, and in honor of this occasion, the automaker is holding a design contest. One talented winner will get his/her composition featured at the largest car culture event the UK, the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Submit a Livery Design, Become a Winner! (Maybe)


Designers and artists, listen up! Mazda’s MX-5 wrap design contest is a great way to get yourself exposure. Mazda UK has partnered with creative platform Talenthouse to request model wrap submissions following the brand’s global campaign “Defy Convention.”

The winner of the contest, chosen by a panel of Mazda judges, will receive £3,000, have their wrap featured on an actual MX-5 in the brand’s “central feature marque” of the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and receive social media exposure. Four other finalists will receive £400 and have their wrap displayed at the Goodwood Festival too. Even if you’re not a finalists, Mazda is offering £400 for the most-shared submission.

The deadline for the contest is May 11th, with the winner being announced the following week. Simply use the template provided by Mazda to color your own unique livery for the MX-5.
