Yep, That Was The 2016 Nissan Maxima in the “With Dad” Commercial
Nissan surprised us at the Super Bowl with the appearance of the 2016 Nissan Maxima in the 90 second “With Dad” commercial, and it looks pretty damn good. We must say, though, that it looks enormous in the commercial, especially in the frame where the guy is sitting in the driver’s seat.
We think the Maxima gained a little weight.
We don’t know much about it yet besides these pictures, but Nissan is touting the sedan as its “signature 4-Door Sports Car” and flagship product.
The Nissan commercial it was revealed in, titled “With Dad,” was one of the most moving and popular commercials that aired during Super Bowl XLIX. Nissan previewed the first 10 seconds of it the week before the game, then teased a photo of the new Le Mans race car that was also revealed during the commercial. The automaker certainly caught everyone off guard with the 2016 Maxima, though. Chevrolet just plain lied to everyone and said it wouldn’t have a commercial during the Super Bowl, then aired one anyway.
The new Maxima will be officially revealed at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) in April. Catch the commercial below if you didn’t get a chance to see it during the Super Bowl because you were heating up some chicken wings or were already passed out drunk.
