Zipcar’s ONE>WAY Program Will Use 2015 Honda Fit
Today, Zipcar announced their new ONE>WAY service, which intends to take members on point-to-point trips within cities, as well as to and from certain airports. Because Zipcar, in planning out their new service, didn’t think it would be the best protocol to stick their customers in boring economy sedans, they’ve opted to make the 2015 Honda Fit the exclusive car of ONE>WAY.
“Our ONE>WAY service blends the best of Zipcar – guaranteed parking and advance reservations – with the best of the one-way model – spontaneity and the freedom to leave a car in a different location,” Zipcar President Kaye Ceille said in a statement. “Zipcar ONE>WAY, combined with our global fleet of more than 10,000 vehicles with 30 different makes and models, offers members the most options, the most flexibility and the largest global network of any mobility provider.”
With the new service, Zipcar cutomers will be able to reserve and pick up their Honda Fit at one location and drop it off at another. When the Fit Zipcar arrives at its pre-determined drop-off point, there will be a parking spot ready and waiting. The intention is to increase flexibility and reduce traffic congestion by cutting down on the number of people hunting for parking spots.
The 2015 Honda Fit seems to be the ideal choice, as it is both extremely versatile, roomy, and fuel efficient. Oh, and there’s also the fact that it is unusually sporty and just a silly amount of fun to drive.
