Fifteen years ago, Derek Zoolander (played by Ben Stiller) drove himself and his friends in a Ford Bronco to a gas station. We all know how that ended up: explosively, tragically, and hilariously. But fifteen years is a long time for the world’s top male fashion model; the times have changed.

With Zoolander making his return in the long-awaited sequel–debuting in theaters February 12th–the superstar model needs a car that is as hot–and unique–as he is.

Tonight during the Golden Globe Awards, Zoolander made an appearance in a new commercial–driving a 2016 Fiat 500X.

In the hilarious commercial, Zoolander is driving around town in his yellow Fiat 500X. Upon having his picture snapped by a red light camera, he slams on the brakes. Unable to pull himself away from the camera which captured his image, Zoolander throws the car in reverse, and has his picture taken again. And again. Circling the block dozens of times, the male model throws his best Magnum, Le Tigre, Ferrari, and even Blue Steel faces at the camera.

Eventually, he’s arrested by the cops for–as Zoolander himself puts it–“driving while hot.” With the entire wall covered with his numerous photos, Zoolander proudly admits it’s some of his best work. The entire commercial is perfectly set to Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Relax (Don’t Do It).”

The commercial is part of a team-up between FIAT-Chrysler LLC and Paramount Pictures to make Derek Zoolander the new face of the Fiat 500–something he’s undoubtedly happy about. The campaign will continue through television and social media over the next month.

In a press release, Olivier François, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of FIAT Brand, said, “Having international fashion icon Derek Zoolander, who is known for his distinctive style and playful spirit, behind the wheel of the Fiat 500X provides exceptional relevance to the global message of the FIAT brand.”

That’s certainly true. We’re excited for the return of Ben Stiller in Zoolander No.2 next month to bring some much-needed laughs to cinemas.
