2.0-Liter Turbocharged I4 EcoTec Engine Powers Envision
While the all-new Buick Envision model will first be hitting the Chinese market, Americans can expect to get their hands on this baby for the 2016 model year. Even more exciting—a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 EcoTec engine will power the Envision, at least as a range-topping option.
This powerplant will even feature GM’s stop-start technology, which is a first for the 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 EcoTec. Furthermore, this beastly engine can generate 256 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
But those aren’t the only tricks up the Envision’s sleeve. The new model’s engine will be mated to a new-generation six-speed “DDS” transmission for smoother gear shifting. The Envision also gets a unique all-wheel-drive system.
The Buick Envision will officially debut on August 28th at the Beijing Auto Show in China. We’ll bring you more information following its unveiling—and hopefully plenty more pictures, but here are some interior shots for the time being…
