2013 Kia Sorento Exterior

The 2013 Kia Sorento retains some of the boxy, angular style of last generation’s classic SUVs, but with enough visual upgrades to achieve a look that should remain fresh several years from now. At the front, Kia’s signature honeycomb grille surrounds the new badge between a set of menacing headlights. Wheels are 17-inches standard and 18-inches on the EX and SX trims. Silver roof rails and rear spoilers can also be added depending on trim selection.

2013 Kia Sorento Performance

The 2013 Kia Sorento offers a choice of three engines, all of which come with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive by default, with optional all-wheel drive. Standard is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder producing 175 horsepower and 169 pound-feet of torque, which can do 0 to 60 mph in 9.9 seconds and tow up to 1,650 pounds. The mid-range option is a direct-injected 2.4-liter four-cylinder rated at 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. At the top of the line is the 3.5-liter V6 cranking out 276 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque—powerful enough to reduce that 0 to 60 acceleration time by about 2.3 seconds. Towing capability for the V6 is rated at 3,500 pounds.
