What’s New for the 2014 Audi A4

The Audi A4 remains widely unchanged for the 2014 model year in terms of styling. The German luxury automaker has managed to bolster output up to 220 horsepower, and a few previously optional features are now standard on the 2014 Audi A4, including Bluetooth and an iPod interface.

2014 Audi A4 Exterior

The 2014 A4 builds on Audi’s reputation of elegant yet aggressive exterior styling. Although little has changed from the previous model year, standard 17-inch and available 18-inch wheels, along with xenon headlights, provide the bold curb appeal that is reserved for luxury sedans like the 2014 Audi A4.

2014 Audi A4 Performance

Each and every 2014 Audi A4 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, marking an increase from the 211 horsepower of 2013 A4.  The enhanced performance propels the 2014 Audi A4 from 0-60 mph in just 6.2 seconds.

2014 Audi A4 Efficiency

Despite the notable improvement in power, the 2014 Audi A4 still manages to return an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city and 32 mpg highway thanks in-part to the standard continuously variable transmission (CVT). Drivers who opt for the available all-wheel drive will see those numbers drop slightly to 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.

2014 Audi A4 Interior

Setting the 2014 Audi A4 apart from the likes of Mercedes-Benz and BMW is its real leather standard seats; its German counterparts use premium vinyl instead. This has lead Edmunds.com to say the 2014 A4 has “one of the best cabins in its class.” Along with the leather seats, the 2014 Audi A4 delivers interior space comparable to a midsize sedan despite being considered a small entry-level luxury car. The 2014 A4 also provides 12.4-cubic-feet of trunk space to accommodate all cargo.

2014 Audi A4 Safety

The 2014 Audi A4 comes loaded with a slew of advanced safety features, including a pre-collision safety system, electronic brakeforce distribution, occupant sensing airbags, and many more.
