What’s New for the 2014 Audi S5
Keyless entry/ignition and the Audi Drive Select system, which allows for adjustable settings for the steering and transmission, will all come standard on all 2014 Audi S5 models. An optional Black Optic appearance package will also debut.

The Audi S5 can only truly be described as handsome. With aggressively shaped headlights and the signature Audi grille, the 2014 S5 has a strong presence both on the road and off. The sleek body lines make the car seem as if it’s in motion, even when it’s not, providing both aesthetic appeal and an aerodynamic silhouette.

A 3.0-liter V6 engine powers each Audi S5, allowing it to churn out 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard for the coupe, while the Cabriolet—a.k.a the convertible—comes standard with a seven-speed automated manual transmission, which is an option for the coupe. No matter the model, all-wheel-drive is standard.

If you opt for the manual transmission coupe, you can expect an EPA-estimated 20 mpg combined, while the automated coupe and the convertible get a tiny bit better with 21 mpg.

The interior design of the 2014 S5 is understated with quality materials that make it seem quietly luxurious. With the standard MMI infotainment system and comfortable, spacious front seat allow for a welcoming atmosphere, though the lack of leg-and headroom in the rear seat can make adult-sized back seat passengers a bit uncomfortable.

All 2014 Audi S5 models come standard with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side and knee airbags, and full-length side curtain airbags (in the coupe specifically). The Prestige package also comes with a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a blind-spot monitoring system. An adaptive cruise control system is also available on Premium Plus models.
