The performance figures of the 2014 Corvette Stingray have garnered most of attention as anticipation builds for the next generation of the legendary sports car to arrive at dealerships, and rightfully so. After all, it’s hard to look past 455 horsepower, 460 lb.-ft. of torque and a 0-60 mph time under four seconds, but the Stingray’s technology shouldn’t be overlooked.
The Chevy Corvette Stingray’s advanced cluster display can be personalized so that the driver sees the information most important to them. There are 10 different configurations to display information, including Sport, Track, Lap Timer and Tour theme among others.
Why so many options? The 2014 Stingray is able to draw from 69 unique sources of information, which vary from interactive performance to tire tread temperature and everywhere in between. The 10 configurations group relevant information and make it easily accessible to the driver.
“The new Corvette Stingray features many advanced technologies, so our challenge when designing the driver’s displays was to ensure that those technologies could be easily found in common driving scenarios,” said Jason Stewart, General Motors interaction designer, in a press release.
Which configuration theme would you use most often in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray?
