For more power, drivers can opt for the available 5.7-liter V8, which pumps out 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. New to the Grand Cherokee lineup for the 2014 model year is the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that generates 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. There is also a 6.4-liter V8 that is exclusive to the SRT trip and cranks out 470 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Efficiency The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s best fuel economy is found in the diesel V6, which returns 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. The Grand Cherokee’s base V6 returns 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, while the 5.7-liter V8 returns 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.
