It was announced during the 2014 National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) convention in New Orleans that Chevrolet will be collaborating with Lingenfelter (engine tuning) and Southern Comfort Automotive (custom truck shop) to create the 2014 Silverado Reaper. The Reaper will no doubt be looking to bring the scythe down on the F-150 Raptor, which will not be offered in the upcoming model year.

As it is outlined at Lingenfelter’s profile page, the 2014 Silverado Reaper will come with two engine options: a 5.3-liter Lingenfelter TVS 1900 Magnuson Supercharger package that offers 475 horsepower and a 6.2-liter Lingenfelter TVS 1900 Magnuson Supercharger package that promises a whopping 550 hp.

The Reaper will be based on a short box bed Silverado crew cab, and it will feature a new front fascia, high-clearance bumper with flood lights and LEDS, a front skid plate, and rock rails.

Other new features to the Southern Comfort-created package include a Fox Racing Suspension system for extending OEM travel limitations, Corsa Performance exhaust package, 20” wheels/tires, auxiliary switch panels, unique gauge package, custom-stitched headrest covers, custom graphics, and serialized Reaper badging.

The only available options announced as of yet are a 17” beadlock wheel/33” General Grabber tire package.

According to the product information request page, production on the 2014 Silverado Reaper is scheduled to begin in March; the Reaper will only be made available at select dealerships and will likely be offered in an extremely limited run. Fox speculates that pricing could fall anywhere between $50- and $60,000, dependent upon options and features.
