What’s New for the 2014 Volkswagen GTI
The two-door Volkswagen GTI is no longer available for the 2014 model year and is now only offered in three colors—Candy White, Carbon Gray, or Deep Black. Wolfsburg and Driver’s Edition Trims are also replacing the Base and Autobahn trim levels.

A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine powers the 2014 Volkswagen GTI, producing 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive comes standard along with a six-speed manual transmission, while a six-speed dual-clutch automated manual is optional. This powertrain allows the Volkswagen GTI to travel from 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds.

With the manual transmission, the GTI gets an EPA-estimated 25 mpg combined, while the automated manual gets a higher 27 mpg combined.
