2015 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe Announced
Last week, BMW announced the launch of the all-new 2015 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe ahead of the New York International Auto Show next month, where it will make its North American debut. Lucky drivers can take delivery of the 2015 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe immediately after at a starting MSRP of $118,225.
The new model is powered by a 4.4-liter ALPINA Bi-Turbo V8, mated to an eight-speed Sport Automatic Transmission with ALPINA Switch-Tronic and the automaker’s xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system. This powertrain lays out 540 hp and 540 lb-ft of torque and rockets the coupe from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
The 2015 BMW ALIPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe also features Electronic Damping Control and Active Roll Stabilization technology and reaches a top speed of 198 mph.
Sitting on 20” ALPINA CLASSIC 21-spoke wheels, the coupe is defined by its aerodynamic elements meant to increase performance. For example, the front apron features splitter elements meant to direct airflow over and around the body instead of underneath.
